NFL week 8

Last week wasn’t a very good one for me, as I went 0-4 on the week dropping my season record to 13-17 for the NFL.  This weeks games aren’t that great, not a whole lot to choose from.  I’m a little hung over from Halloween, and want to go take a nap.  Who knows where this is going to end up.  I actually started writing this column 3 different times with 3 different approaches.  First I was going to lay out the 3 games that I like.  Then I took another look at those games and I decided I didn’t really like 2 of them.  I was then going to write 3 or 4 sentences on each game.  Got through 3 games and decided I didn’t want to do that either.  So here it is, my 1 game for this week.

Green Bay (-3) at Denver:
I’m not sure what is going on here.  Peyton Manning as an underdog at home.  Sure it’s to the Packers and the explosive offense that they have.  But the Packers struggle at times on defense.  They allow a lot of rushing yards, and as Rivers showed a couple weeks back, they can give up a lot of passing yards too.  Denver’s defense is legit, probably the best in the league right now.  They stop the run, and defend the pass well.  Sure the Broncos are struggling on offense, but going against this Packers defense can change that.  Just take the early Christmas present of Denver getting points at home and hammer it big time.
