College Football week 13 Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  I hope you all have a great turkey day.  There are 2 college football games for Thursday, and as usual I’m going to break down both of them.  For some reason there isn’t a line posted for the USF vs Central Florida game, probably because UCF sucks donkey balls, but that’s just speculation.

South Florida vs Central Florida (no line):
If you’re a regular reader you know that Central Florida is bad, I mean real bad.  They are no longer the bottom of the barrel bad, but they are bottom 10.  South Florida has been on a tear lately, and coming off a dismantling of Cincinnati last week.  South Florida runs the ball well, which is something that I’m a big fan of.  They are averaging 240 rushing yards per game.  That spells trouble for Central Florida as they are allowing 192 rushing yards per game.  That means that UCF is in for a long day.  The UCF offense is basically non-existent as they are only averaging 273 total yards per game, which is absolutely atrocious when it comes to college football offenses.  Any ways there is no line, so that’s all I got to say about this game.

Texas Tech at Texas (pick em):
This line is right at where I have it, but that’s based on Texas getting 4 points for home field advantage.  Texas Tech has the #2 rated offense, thanks mostly to the strength of their passing offense which is averaging 392 yards per game, but they are pretty balanced as they are averaging 198 rushing yards per game.  That doesn’t bode well for the Longhorns as they have the #95 rated defense in the nation.  This game originally opened as Texas as the favorite, which didn’t make sense to me, nor the sophisticated money in Vegas as those points are all gone.  Texas needs to win it’s last 2 games in order to make it to a bowl, but that will be a tall task as they have to get past Baylor next week if they manage to win this week.  Texas doesn’t move the ball well on offense, and are one sided as a rushing team averaging over 200 yards per game, but they are only averaging 154 passing yards per game.  They should see a boost in those numbers though as the Red Raiders defense sucks donkey balls and can’t stop anybody.  Most of Texas Tech games are shoot outs.  Also, Texas usually gets up for big games as they hung close against California, Oklahoma State and upset Oklahoma.  I’m passing on this game as well.

There are a lot of Friday games, so instead of breaking down all of them, I’m just going to provide my picks for the games that I like so check back for that.  Also, if you like college basketball, check out my free basketball picks, you can find a link on my website, facebook or twitter for that.
